DU student harassment case: Accused gets bail

A Dhaka court has granted bail to Mostafa Asif Arnob, a bookbinder at the Dhaka University library, in a case filed on charge of harassing a student.
On Thursday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehera Mahbub granted the bail in a Tk 1000 bond.
Toufique Hasan, a sub-inspector of Shahbagh Police Station and also the investigation officer of the case, produced him before the court.
Arnob’s lawyer Ajmot Hossain sought bail.
According to police, Arnob was handed over to Shahbagh police by the university authorities on Wednesday evening after he allegedly harassed the student verbally for not having her ‘scarf’ in the right place.
