Police to take actions against activities of Hizb ut Tahrir

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has warned of required actions against any activity of outlawed Hizb ut Tahrir or any other banned organisations.

According to a DMP statement on Thursday, if any banned organization including Hizb ut Tahrir conducts meetings, rallies and in any means of propaganda, necessary legal actions will be taken. 

Hizb ut Tahrir was declared banned in 2009 by the government as it was considered as a threat to public security.
