Petrol bomb attack on Farhad Mazhar’s establishment

Miscreants allegedly threw petrol bomb at the institution of Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock advisor Farida Akhter and philosopher, social and human rights activist Farhad Mazhar at the capital’s Mohammadpur area on Friday night.

The incident took place at a house named ‘Shasya Prabartana’ adjacent to the Sir Syed road owned by Farida Akhter and Farhad Mazhar around 10 pm.

However, no casualties were reported in this connection.

Mohammadpur police station inspector (investigation) Hafizur Rahman said the incident took place at a ‘Shasya Prabartana’ outlet in Mohammadpur’s Sir Syed Road area at around 10 pm last night. The police have collected CCTV footage of the incident.

Some unidentified persons hurled a petrol bomb bottle inside the compound. Police have recovered the bottle used as the crude bomb from the scene, the police official further said.
