Govt changes names of 8 establishments of military forces

A total of eight organizations, institutions and establishments have been renamed, including three from the Navy, three from the Air Force, one from the Military Command and Staff College and one from the Ministry of Defense.

The ministry of defense issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday (March 9).

The changes are - 
Chattogram New Mooring's BNS Bangabandhu renamed as BNS Khalid Bin Walid.

Dhaka Khilkhet Namapara’s BNS Sheikh Mujib renamed as BNS Dhaka.

Cox’s Bazar Pekua’s BNS Sheikh Hasina has been changed as BNS Pekua.

Dhaka Cantonment’s Bangladesh Airforce Base ‘Bangabandhu’ at Kurmitola has been renamed as BAF Bir Uttam AK Khandaker.

Dhaka Cantonment’s BAF Bangabandhu Aeronautical Centre renamed as Bangladesh Aeronautical Center.

Jashore BAF Bangabandhu Complex renamed as BAF Complex.

Dhaka Mirpur Cantonment’s armed command and staff college’s Sheikh Hasina Complex renamed as DSCSC Complex.

Ministry of Defense Ganabhaban Complex Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhaka Sher-e-Bangla Nagar renamed as Defense Museum.
