Govt has zero-tolerance policy for rape, says Home adviser

Home Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that all those involved in the child rape incident in Magura have been arrested. The maximum punishment will be ensured against them through legal process.
The home adviser said this while addressing a press briefing after a meeting on Sunday (March 9).
He said the government has a strict zero-tolerance policy for rape and violence against women and children.
He also said, "Our position against violence against women and children, including rape, is very clear. I have instructed the law enforcement agencies to take a strict action against all forms of violence against women and children, including rape."
