Court orders to seize Summit Group’s 54 kathas of land

A Dhaka court has ordered to seize 54 kathas of land in Badda’s Satarkul area, owned by Summit Group Chairman Aziz Khan, his family members, and related entities.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Tuesday.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Alamgir Hossain filed the petition.
According to ACC, while the official records show the land’s value at Tk 1.46 crore, its actual market price is estimated at Tk 9.70 crore.
Earlier, on March 9, the same court ordered to freeze 191 bank accounts linked to Summit Group, which collectively hold Tk 41.74 crore.
ACC continues its investigation into allegations of illicit wealth accumulation and money laundering against the business conglomerate.
