UPDF member killed in Khagrachari

A member of Prosit Group of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) was killed in a shooting by miscreants at Matiranga upazila in Khagrachari district.

The incident occurred at Headman Para of Taindong union in the upazila on Wednesday (March 19) morning. 

One woman was injured in the incident.

The deceased UPDF member was identified as Astin Tripura, son of Basna Tripura at Maya Kumarpara.

According to a release of UPDF, the incident was blamed on the Santu group of Jana Sanghati Samiti. However, no comment from Santu group was found.
