Security tightened in front of Baitul Mukarram

A heightened security presence has been established around the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque area in Dhaka in response to several Islamic party’s protest rallies.

No untoward incidents were reported in the area till filing this report on Friday noon (March 21).

Army personnel and police forces were seen taking position at the entry gates of Baitul Mukarram mosque.

Besides, various government intelligence agencies and detectives in plainclothes were deployed in the area.
