Election the only way to resolve country`s ongoing crisis: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the general election is the only way to resolve the country's ongoing crisis. 

He said, “Election is the only way to resolve the country's ongoing crisis. Election will be the greatest wisdom before the nation. The crisis will not be resolved without elections.”

The BNP secretary general made these comments at an Iftar Mahfil held at the Ladies Club in the capital’s Eskaton on Friday (March 21) in honour of prominent citizens and professionals.

BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was virtually present as the chief guest.

The BNP leader also said, “Problems cannot be solved by relying on illusions or utopian thoughts, nor can they be resolved through emotions. We must think realistically, plan for the future, and work towards change to establish a new and democratic Bangladesh”. 

“We are going through a very difficult time. After the mass uprising ousted the fascist regime, an interim government was formed. The people are now waiting for the establishment of a new democratic parliament”, he said.
