Probe report submitted in Ashulia body burning case: chief prosecutor

Mohammad Tajul Islam, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) said that they have received an investigation report in the case filed allegedly for committing crimes against humanity by burning six bodies of protesters in Ashulia during the mass uprising.
The Chief Prosecutor said this while addressing reporters at his office in ICT on Sunday (March 23).
"We received the investigation report in the case linked to burning bodies in Ashulia while three to four other cases of crimes against humanity are now at the final stage. We hope to get the reports immediately after Eid," he said.
Replying a question, he also said the victims were shot dead by police and then placed in a police van where their bodies were set on fire. Disturbingly, one of the victims was reportedly still alive as the bodies were burned.
