Army will always stand by July uprising injured: Army Chief

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman said that his force will always stand by the people who were injured during the 2024 July mass uprising.

The army chief said this while addressing an iftar party organized at Sena Malancha in the capital on Sunday (March 23).

He also said the army has so far provided treatment to about 4,200 people who were injured in the uprising and this assistance programme is still ongoing.

"You are the nation's pride. You have sacrificed a lot for the country and the people. I congratulate you and assure you that we will always be there for you," he said.
