Eid train journey begins

Every year, millions of people return home to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most important religious festivals of Muslims, with their near and dear ones. Many choose the train as a means of transportation because it is relatively comfortable.

The train journey carrying the homebound people started on Monday (March 24) on the occasion of the Eid.

CCTV cameras have been installed at the terminal of Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital to ensure smooth travel of homebound people on Eid. All preparations for Eid have been completed.

Bangladesh Railway had started selling advance train tickets ahead of Eid. Those who purchased tickets on March 14 will travel today.
