3 to walk gallows for killing teen after rape in Keraniganj

A Dhaka has sentenced three people to death for killing a teenage girl after gang rape in Keraniganj in Dhaka.

Judge Munshi Md Mashiar Rahman of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-4 of Dhaka passed the order on Tuesday (March 25).

The convicts are – Md Sajib, son of Kamir Uddin, Md Rakib, son of Hasmat Ali, and Bhelka Shawon alias Shawon, son of Muslim Matabbar.

The court also fined them Tk10,000 each, in default, to suffer one year more imprisonment.

According to the case statement, the convicted persons raped a teenage girl named Maria and killed her three years ago.
