Chief Adviser orders commercial launch of Starlink within 90 days

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has directed the launch of Starlink’s satellite broadband internet service in Bangladesh commercially within the next 90 days.

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam conveyed this information in a statement on Tuesday (March 25).

Shafiqul added that though Starlink uses its foreign satellite broadband gateway for test broadcasts, the company will use a local broadband gateway or IIG in providing commercial service in Bangladesh complying with the Non-Geostationary Orbit (NGSO) policy.
