Boat capsizes in Buriganga, 5 missing

Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, Jan 26: Five people including two women are missing as a boat capsized in Buriganga River in Sadarghat on Sunday evening.

Ziaur Rahman, an official of fire service said risingbd.com that five divers are conducting rescue operations.

Keraniganj Police Station officer in charge (OC) Shahabuddin Mondal told risingbd.com that the boat capsized with 10 people on board when two launches were leaving the terminal creating waves around 8:30pm.

The boatman along with the other 5 passengers managed to swim across the shore. However the other 5 including 2 women were still missing when the report filed at 9:30pm.
