Jamaat leader Masud on 7-day fresh remand

Staff Correspondent: Jamaat-e-Islami leader and former Shibir President Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud has been remanded for more seven days in three cases filed against him with Paltan Police Station.
The courts of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur passed the remand order after police placed Masud before his court seeking 30 days remand for the Jamaat leader.
So far, Masud has been remanded for 31 day in 5 times.
Mohammadpur Thana police arrested Masud with 18 other leaders and activists of the party from a house at Zakir Hossain Road in Mohammadpur area on August 9.
All leaders and activists except Masud got bails.
