Staff Correspondent: Project Kombol (blanket), the leading winter clothing distribution platform in Bangladesh, is organizing a charity concert called "Concert for Kombol" on Friday (19th December) at the Kalabagan Krira Chakra Field from 2pm to 11pm.

There is no conventional ticket for the concert, rather people are asked to come with a high quality kombol which will be accepted as the ticket, said a press release sent to media on Wednesday.

For convenience of all, kombol passes will be available at the event for Tk. 250 which can be used for entry, and a good quality kombol will be donated per kombol pass bought. Kombol passes will be sold earlier at various locations in Dhaka, including all locations of Cream and Fudge. There will be seating arrangements at the concert for families with children.

Aurthohin, Bappa and Friends, Chirkutt, Dharok, Different Touch, Dreek, Habib, KHC and Friends, Maqsood O Dhaka, Obscure, Shunno, Tahsan and Yaatri will perform at this charity event. Artists are participating voluntarily in this mega-event of the year.

The kombols collected from the concert will be distributed in remote areas of 32 districts across Bangladesh. To help cover the cost of the event and the subsequent distribution, a donation booth will be present on the field.

The goal of the concert is to raise awareness about the relief distribution network of Project Kombol which spans across 32 districts in Bangladesh. It is composed of reputed local NGOs that provide all logistical support to schools, corporate houses and voluntary organizations who want to distribute kombols effectively outside Dhaka. Current users of the network include Sunnydale, Viqarunnisa School and College, Aga Khan School, Partex Star Group, Berger, Eastern Insurance, BUET, NSU SSC etc.

More information seekers have been asked to visit www.projectkombol.com. Those who cannot attend the event may consider donating by visiting www.projectkombol.com/donate, or by calling at 01819 230 486.
