Women going ahead in challenging professions: PM

Tangail Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday said that the women of the country are going ahead in challenging professions like army and so others.
Sheikh Hasina also said their (women) participation in these challenging professions will play a pivotal role in women empowerment.
The PM said these while addressing a parade on the occasion of swearing-in ceremony and passing out parade of the 1st women’s military paramedics recruit batch as the chief guest at Ghatail Cantonment in the district.
The premier said women are now proud soldiers for the country’s protection and this time they have joined Bangladesh Army along with the ranked officers as part of implementing the Forces Goal 2030.
A total of 879 female trainees took oath during the parade ceremony upon completion of their basic training.
Earlier in the day, the Prime minister arrived here at Ghatail Cantonment by a helicopter around 10:15am.
