NBR`s move for disposal of 28,000 cases

Economic Correspondent: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) is going to take effective initiatives for disposal of a total of 28,000 cases lodged in connection with revenue.

As the disposal of those cases of income tax and VAT is pending for long time, nearly Tk.30 thousand crore is also awaiting to collect.

Some of the high officials including Chairman of NBR have met with nine judges of Supreme Courts` Appellate Division on Monday while the meeting was held at the NBR`s conference room.

NBR officials have sought all kinds of assistances from the SC judges during the meeting, NBR sources confirmed.

"SC judges, however, have given their concern to help us for disposals of the cases and for collection of revenue," the NBR officials who were there in the meeting confirmed risingbd.com.
