Kazi Zafar laid to rest

Staff Correspondent: Jatiya Party (Zafar) chairman also former Prime Minister Kazi Zafar Ahmed was buried beside his parents graves at Cheora village in Chauddagram upazila, Comilla on Saturday.

After the eighth janaza of Kazi Zafar beside the greaves of his parents at family graveyard after Asr prayers.

Meanwhile, he was given the guard of honor from Upazila administration and Upazila freedom command for his contribution to the liberation war of Bangladesh as a freedom-fighter.

Earlier, the seventh janaza of Kazi Zafar was held at Chaudagram upazila around 2:00pm where five thousands people from all walks of life, including Upazila BNP former presndent Taher Palasi, Jatiya Party presidium member Lutfar Rahman Helal, leaders-activists took part.

On Thursday, the veteran politician breathed his last at United Hospital in city after a cardiac arrest at the age of 76.
