Attempt to slit Christian Pastor in Ishwardi

Pabna Correspondent: Miscreants tried to slaughter a Christian Pastor, Lut Sarkar (53) in district’s Ishwardi upazila on Monday morning.

Family sources said that the victim Lut Sarkar served as a homeopaths in his residence and side by side he also worked as a Pastor in Christian Baptist Mission. Today morning some three youths entered the house of Christian Pastor at Airport Road around 9.00am and attacked with a knife to slaughter him.

Meanwhile, hearing the screaming of Lut Sarkar, his wife rushed to the room. At one stage, the three youths fled the scene.

Later, the critically injured was sent to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex.

Confirming the matter Ishwardi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Biman Kumar Das said that police recovered a motorbike from the spot.
