Arafat Sunny denied bail, sent to jail

Staff Correspondent: Cricketer Arafat Sunny has been denied bail and sent to jail after completion of his remand in a case filed under ICT Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jakir Hossain Tipu passed the order on Tuesday.
Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced before the court after one day remand.
Meanwhile, Arafat Sunny's lawyer M Juwel Ahmed filed a petition seeking bail but the court sent Arafat to jail rejecting the bail plea.
Earlier, Sunny was arrested from his Amin Bazar residence Sunday. A 23-year-old woman, who claimed to be Sunny's wife, sued the cricketer for “threatening her online”.
