Staff Correspondent: A residential building caught fire in the city’s Mirpur area early Friday.
The fire originated at the building in Mirpur-10 at about 4:30am.
Sources said the building caught fire suddenly in the early hours of the day.
On information, four firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after a frantic effort.
Fire Brigade sources said the fire might have been caused by an electrical short circuit in the basement.
No casualties were reported, the sources added.
