Schoolboy stabbed to death in Tongi

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A schoolboy was stabbed to death by his rivals in Tongi.

Ferdous Ahmed (14) died under medical treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday midnight.

Ferdous was the son of Ashraful Alam Shipon in Sataish Sharif Market area and class nine student of Satail High School. Their village house at Alhari village of Trishal thana in Mymensingh.

According to police and locals, Ferdous went to a programme with his friends.  At 9.00pm, they locked into quarrels with some youths. At one stage, the youths stabbed Ferdous's stomach and escaped. Later, locals rescued him in a critical condition and sent him to a private medical hospital in Sataish.

Ferdous died at might when he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment. His body is in the morgue hospital for autopsy.
