Hanging mark found at Zeheen’s neck

Staff Correspondent: Mechanix guitarist Zeheen Ahmed, son of popular rock band Miles’ keyboard player Manam Ahmed, died on Saturday afternoon before he was taken to hospital.

Zeheen hanged himself around 3:00pm in his Dhanmondi apartment. His father Manam Ahmed took him to Labaid Hospital around 3:35pm. His pulse was not responding when doctors carried out a test on him. He died before he was taken to the hospital, according to hospital sources.

The hospital sources said Zeheen’s father found him hanging from a ceiling fan around 3:00pm. Then he took Zeheen to the hospital and traced the mark of hanging in his neck.

His body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the source added.
