2 youths held with pistol in Tangail

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)- 12 personnel detained two youths from Basakhanpur area under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The detainees are Abu Hanif, 28 and Saiful Islam, 22.

RAB-12 crime prevention company (CPC-3) commander Bina Rani Das said that acting on a tip-off, RAB setup a check post in the area around 10:30am. Meanwhile, sensing the presence of RAB officials, the two detainees tried to flee the scene.

Later, the law enforcers seized a pistol and six rounds of bullets searching their bodies.
