Certified copy of Khaleda’s verdict published

Staff Correspondent: The certified copy of the verdict of Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case has been published. BNP lawyers received the copy around 4.20pm on Monday.

The 1,174-page verdict contains six pages of order sentencing Khaleda Zia to five years imprisonment, and five others to 10 years in jail and Tk 2.1 crore fine each.

Since February 8, when a special court delivered the verdict, BNP has been trying to get the certified copy of the judgment for filing an appeal and the BNP chairperson’s bail plea.
