Retd army man killed by robbers

Comilla Correspondent: A retired army man was killed by robbers in Dhonuakhola village under sadar upazila of the district early Saturday. 

The deceased was Mobarak Hossain.

Family sources said that a gang of robbers tried to enter into the residence of Mobarak Hossain around 2:00am. Meanwhile, sensing the presence of robbers, Mobarak went to balcony and robbers fired aiming him, leaving him bullet injured.

Later, the injured was sent to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Comilla where duty doctor declared him dead.

Nazira Bazar police outpost Inspector Mahmudul Hasan Rubel said investigation is underway in this regard.
