Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: The Forest Department released some 35 turtles in the waters of Bhawal National Park’s zoo on Saturday morning.
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized the turtles from Shakhari Bazar in old Dhaka on Friday.
The turtles are of an endangered species.
Three persons were sentenced to nine months imprisonment for illegally selling turtles and meat of the endangered species at Shakhari Bazar in old Dhaka.
