ECNEC approves 15 projects worth Tk 17,987cr

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved 15 development projects involving Taka 17,987.23crore.

The approval came from ECNEC meeting held at the NEC Conference room in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with ECNEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the chair on Tuesday.

After the meeting, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters that a total of 15 projects were approved today involving Taka 17,987.23 crore.

Of the total estimated cost, Tk 11,940.32 crore will come from government fund, while Tk 523.69 crore from relevant organisations' own funds and Tk 5,523.22 crore as project assistance, the minister added.
