Long tailback on Dhaka-Chittagong highway

Comilla Correspondent: A 40-kilometre long tailback has formed on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway due to slow vehicular movement in Daudkandi area of Comilla.

Public sufferings have mounted high due to the traffic congestion in the area on Tuesday.

Kamrul Hasan, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) at Daudkandi highway police station said that construction work is underway on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Sonargaon of Narayanganj. As a result, a traffic jam was seen in the area around 6:00pm on Monday which turned into a 40 kilometer long tailback.

The tailback began to ease from 8:30am Tuesday.
