Myanmar troops again on Tombru border

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Myanmar militaries again took positions along the Tombru border of Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban on Sunday.
According to locals, Myanmar army forces along with Border Guard Police (BGP) reached the border by 3/4 trucks on Sunday morning. They started digging bunkers at Konaparha area of the border."
Besides, BGP members were patrolling very close to the barbed wire fence of the border.
Meanwhile, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has also tightened security measures along the border against the additional presence of Myanmar forces.
Earlier on Saturday morning, Myanmar forces disappeared from the border area after BGB tightened security.
Lt Col Manjurul Ahsan Khan, commanding officer of BGB battalion 34, said at least 500 Myanmar troops were seen at different points along the Tombru border since Saturday morning. BGB also strengthened patrolling against them.
Myanmar troops disappeared from the area by six trucks when BGB members moved forward to Zero Point of Tombru border with 'meet flag'.
Apart from, troops who took positions in the bunkers made close to the Bangladesh border also left the area hurriedly.
About strengthening capability, Lt Col Manjurul Ahsan Khan said, "If any incident happens along the border, its BGB's duty to keep eyes, to be alert and to watch the border. No mentionable incident happened yet. Situation is now said to be controlled and calm than that of we saw two days before. We are on alert."
