9 kg gold seized from plane toilet

Staff Correspondent: At least 80 gold bars weighing 9.28 kg of worth nearly Tk 4.68 crore, have been seized from a toilet of an aircraft at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

Customs officials seized the gold from the toilet of the flight on Dubai-Sylhet-Dhaka (BG248) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Wednesday.

Customs authority confirmed the news to risingbd.

Customs officials also seized 2.784 kg gold of worth Tk 1.5 crore from two Indian passengers in a separate drive in the airport.
