Fire incidents kill 1400 in 6 years

Staff Correspondent: Around 88,000 fire incidents took place in Bangladesh in last six years, leaving a total of 1,400 people including men, women and children killed and causing damages to properties worth over Tk 29,000 crore.

Motaher Hoshan Khan, president of Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB), came up with the information at a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the capital on Saturday morning.
