Merit list of NTRCA test candidates in 90 days

Staff Correspondent: The full text verdict on the registration test for appointment as teachers to private schools and colleges has been published with seven-point directives.

The 49-page verdict signed by Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice Mohammad Ullah was published on Tuesday.

The directives include the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) was asked to make the merit list in 90 days and to publish it on the website.

The quota system of division, district and upazila wise recruitment was also cancelled, according to the verdict.

The directives also include the NTRCA will have to give certificates to the candidates after it prepares the list which will remain in force until they are appointed as teachers, the merit list will have to update every year, certificates must be issued for the writ petitioner and other candidates.

Earlier on December 14, 2017, the bench of Justice Quazi Reza-UlHoque and Justice Mohammad Ullah came up with the verdict after hearing few hundred writ petitions filed by several thousands of candidates seeking necessary orders on the NTRCA to prepare a list for their appointments as teachers.
