Arrest warrant against NSI ex-DG over war crimes

Staff Correspondent:  An arrest warrant has been issued against former director general of National Security Intelligence (NSI) M Wahidul Haque on charge of committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War of 1971.

A two-member bench of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) headed by Justice Amir Hossain passed the order Tuesday.

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Prosecutor Barrister Turin Afroz confirmed the matter.

Wahidul is accused of gunned down some 600 persons at Rangpur Cantonment on March 28 in 1971, said Turin.
