No SSC exam being cancelled

Secretariat Correspondent: Ruling out any possibility to re-take the just-concluded SSC and its equivalent examinations, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said the rate of question paper leak in the SSC exams is 0.25 percent.

It will not be reasonable to cancel any examination due to a handful of students, he said.

The minister said this while addressing a press briefing at the ministry on Thursday afternoon.

The body formed to probe the alleged leaks found evidence of 0.25 percent of the question paper leak in the SSC examinations and only "Kha" set objective question paper was leaked. The leaked question papers reached to only 5,000 students out of around 20 lakh examinees and that happened just immediately before the exams. That’s why, re-taking the examinations will not be reasonable, the minister told the press briefing.
