CNG stations to remain closed 5pm-11pm during Ramadan

Staff Correspondent: With an aim to increase the gas supply at power plants, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said the CNG filling stations across the country will remain closed for six hours from 5:00pm to 11:00pm daily during the month of Ramadan.

The state minister came up with the announcement at a meeting at Bidyut Bhaban at Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue in the capital on Thursday.

He said that the government has taken the decision for smooth operation of power plants.

This month of Ramadan will see an addition of more 1,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity, Nasrul Hamid added.
