Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Detectives recovered 13 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets worth Tk 45 crore from Shantibagh Shamoly residencial area of Halishahar of the district town.
Abu Bakar Siddiqui, additional deputy commissioner of the Detective Branch made the disclosure in the press conference in Chattagram on Friday noon.
He said, acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers conducted a drive in a flat of four storied building in the area on Thursday night and found the Yaba pills. Meanwhile, the law enforcers detained two brothers named Ashraf Ali, 48 and Hasan, 22.
A case was filed against the two brothers with Halishahar police station.
