Councilor killed in Teknaf gunfight

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: A ward councilor was killed in a gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) during the ongoing anti-drug drive in Noakhaliapara under Teknaf upazila of the district early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ekramul Haque, 46, councilor of Teknaf ward number-3. He was also former Juba League president of Teknaf upazila.
Commander of RAB-7 Lieutenant Colonel Miftah Uddin Ahmed said on information of a gunfight, the law enforcers went to the spot around 1:30am and found the body of Ekramul. He was a powerful godfather of Yaba trade.
10,000 pieces of Yaba pills, a foreign made pistol, a one-shooter gun, six rounds of bullets and five bullets shells were recovered from the spot.
