Minimum Fitra fixed at Tk 70

Staff Correspondent: National Fitra committee of Islamic Foundation has fixed the minimum figure of fitra, a charity done by capable and solvent Muslims at the end of Ramadan, for this year Tk 70 while the maximum Tk 2,310.

The decision was taken in a fitra fixing committee meeting held at Islami Foundation conference room of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram on Tuesday morning.

Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Moulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman presided over the meeting.

Per person Fitra has been fixed taking into account the market prices of ata, dates and other essential items.
