‘No innocent was killed in anti-drug crusade’

Risingbd Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that no innocent person was killed in the ongoing anti-drug drive across the country.

She said, “No innocent person was killed in anti-drug drive. If any incident happened like this, steps must be taken.”

The premier said this while addressing media at her official residence Gono Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday afternoon about the outcomes of her just-concluded visit to India.

If anyone commits anything wrong during the anti-narcotic drive, he or she is surely tried, Hasina said.

“What happened so far, please show at least one incident where any innocent person fell victim,” the Prime Minister added.

Mentioning that drug is like a disease in society, Hasina said more than 10,000 drug dealers and users have been arrested, but no newspaper ran any news over the number of arrestees during the drive.
