Rain brings relief

Staff Correspondent: Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm swept over different parts of the capital on Thursday morning brought a little relief to the city dwellers who were suffering from scorching heat in couple of days.

According to the met office, a total of 81 millimetre rainfall was recorded in three hours starting from 6:00am to 9:00am on Thursday.

Officials at the Meteorology Department said light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country on Thursday.
