Dolonchapa bus service for women launched

Staff Correspondent: BRTC has launched special bus server for women-only named 'Dolonchapa' to ensure safety during commute in the capital.

Although, 36 seated two buses started their journey from today but, more eight buses will be launched within next two months.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the bus service through a programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Agargaon on Saturday.

First-aid, CCTV cameras and comfortable seats are available in the Dolonchapa buses. Initially, one bus will operate on the Motijheel-Mirpur 12 route. And another bus will be available on the Azimpur-Mirpur ECB route.
