Eid journey to be comfortable: Obaidul Quader

Staff Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has assured that the journey of Eid holidaymakers will be comfortable this time than previous occasions.

The ministry remains alert to ensure a comfortable journey. Necessary directives have been given to repair the roads damaged by rain. Hopefully, this year's Eid journey will be comfortable than previous years.

The minister said this while speaking at a programme of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) at Motijheel in the city on Monday.

He also urged all not to create panic about roads spreading misleading information.

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation will begin sale of advance tickets to ease journey of Eid holidaymakers from tomorrow (June 5).

The BRTC service will deploy 904 buses, while another 54 will remain on stand-by to meet emergency demands.

The Eid special service will start from June 13.
