Govt creates 6,11,184 posts to reduce unemployment problem

Staff Correspondent: Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam said the government, in principle, has created 6,11,184 posts in different categories of the government jobs in last nine years against demand of different ministries and divisions aimed at reducing unemployment problem.

The minister said this while replying to a starred question from ruling party member Jahan Ara Begum Surma in the Jatiya Sangsad on Sunday.

“As part of the move, process is underway for creating some 52,079 more posts in different ministries and divisions of the administration,” Syed Ashraf said.

Replying to another starred question from treasury bench member Momtaj Begum of Manikganj-2 in the Jatiya Sangsad today, the minister said the government, in principle, has created 6,13,155 posts from 2009 to March, 2018 against demand of different ministries and divisions aimed at making the administration speedy and time befitting.

He said the public administration ministry gives approval for creating new posts for ministries and divisions continuously against separate demand by different ministries and divisions in the government
