Staff Correspondent: Election Working Group (EWG) claimed that its observation on Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) polls briefed on June 28 was not presented by media properly.
EWG made the claim in a statement sent to media house on Saturday.
According to the statement, EWG arranged the June 28 press conference to brief primary statement of their observation over GCC polls.
The group found 159 irregularities in 46.5 percent polling centres which were monitored by their observers. The group monitored a total of 129 centres out of 425 which is 30.4 percent of the observed polling centres, it read.
But it was seen that headlines and news published on different media were not presented properly, the statement said.
According to the statement, EWG said the organisations came up with irregularities found in 60 centres out of 129 centres they monitored during the polls, not in all centres. The irregularities found was 46.5 percent of the centres they monitored.
