Muslim Chowdhury named comptroller and auditor general

Special Correspondent: The government has appointed Finance Secretary Md Muslim Chowdhury as the comptroller and auditor general (CAG).
The finance ministry issued a notice in this regard on Sunday.
He is succeeding Masud Ahmed, who retired on Apr 27. Masud was appointed on the post on April 24 in 2013.
Muslim Chowdhury was appointed as the finance secretary on Oct 3, 2017. He had worked as an additional secretary at the Finance Division.
