‘Section 57 is dead’

Secretariat Correspondent: Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar has said that “Section 57 is dead and no case will be filed under the section as new Digital Security Act will be passed in the Parliament very soon”.

The minister said this while speaking at the second session of last day of deputy commissioners (DCs) conference at the conference room of Cabinet Division on Thursday. Cabinet Division Secretary Shafiul Alam presided over the meeting.
