Registration of Jabale Nur Paribahan cancelled

Secretariat Correspondent: Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has cancelled the registration of Jabale Nur Paribahan following the killing of two college students in a road crash on Airport Road.

The registration was cancelled on Wednesday (August 1). The authority took the decision amid the protests of students across the city.

At least two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College were killed and 8-10 others received injuries on Airport Road as a Jabale Nur bus ploughed through a crowd on Sunday.

Following the incident, students took to the streets for the fourth day in a row, chanting slogans and demanding justice for the deaths of two of their fellows.
